The feverfew plant has its origins in the Eastern Mediterranean, but has been introduced all over Europe thanks to its popularity as a medicinal and ornamental plant. The plant belongs to the daisy family and is most commonly found in wild flower gardens or in meadows in its wild form. Records from ancient Greece point to the healing powers of feverfew and in medieval times, it was used to alleviate the symptoms of fevers and colds. The herb closely resembles the chamomile flower. However, to benefit from the medicinal powers of feverfew, the leaves and not the flower are used.
Due to its bitter taste, feverfew tea is rather unpopular and most people prefer taking feverfew as drops.
